If I want to donate part of my $50 Passport to help teach peace and another amount to another organization, can I?Yes. To keep the process simple and avoid situations where a Passport is split between many organizations, we limit this to teach peace and on other organization. For example, you could have $25 go to teach peace and $25 go Veterans For Peace. You could not have the $50 split between more organizations or two organizations that did not include teach peace. The rationale for this rule is to keep our administrative costs low and avoid a situation where we have to mail a donation to more than one organization.Does Teach Peace have a "no one turned away for lack of funds" policy?Yes and we believe a hand-up is better than a hand-out.We keep our events priced very reasonably and offer tickets for individual events to further make attending an event affordable. In addition, we offer Teach Peace members an opportunity to earn a Passport in a "lack of funds" situation. An example of this is someone could participate in a Stand Up For Peace program or help with administrative work. Teach Peace members in this situation should speak with Dave Dionisi or send an e-mail to contact@teachpeace.com.
Does teach peace have a refund policy?Yes and refunds must be requested in writing and postmarked before October 1, 2006. The original Passport must be returned along with the name, address and phone number of the person requesting the refund. Please send improvements to these Frequently Asked Questions to contact@teachpeace.com. |
