is also true. Specifically:
(1) The student will
be able to explain the connection between the actions
to help others and creating peace.
(2) The student will
understand that knowledge can reveal non-violent solutions.

within the classroom. |

approach will be used to provide information (explain) the

additional online activities and information. |
Checking for
Understanding
(Initial Mastery) |
What check(s) will be
used to determine if learners have understood the material and
activities of the lesson? The teacher will ask the students to say things they can do
to promote peace at home and at school. |
Opportunities to
Relearn
(Reteach) |
If necessary, what
alternative teaching methods will be used to teach the same
information or skill? The compliment game
helps reinforce teaching kindness and building peace. This is an
activity where students say something nice about each other and
this experience is used to create a groundswell of peace. The students will be encouraged to visit the
http://www.thehappycricketmovie.com website to learn more. |
|
Closure or Ending the Lesson |
What very
brief activity will take place that has students state or
demonstrate the main objective(s) of the lesson.
Students are asked to
explain jobs and actions that build peace. Next, the student is asked
how they will help promote peace when they go home today. |
