September 2011 Newsletter - Click here for the October Newsletter

Greetings! This month is packed with many exciting announcements.

Almost ten years of research in 18 countries has concluded with the first book to explain who is responsible for the 9/11 attacks and the reason for the attacks. A few key findings explained in 911: The Secret War Against the Jews include:

1. The tale of the box-cutter hijackers is a myth. Muslims are not responsible for 9/11.

2. Al Qaeda did not exist on 9/11/01.

3. Osama bin Laden's capture in Afghanistan, before September 11, 2001, was made known in a televised 2001 White House press conference. He was kept alive to maintain U.S. public support for wars.

The 7th annual awards dinner is on September 24, 2011 at 600 Alhambra Blvd in Sacramento.

The annual Evening of Peace awards dinner has been a fun family event to connect with friends and make new friends for many years. This year the dinner is on a Saturday from 6-9 pm. Please arrive at 4:30 pm if you can help us setup.

A range of food options, including vegan, is available. For tickets and more information, click here. If you already obtained tickets, please know your name is on the dinner list. To save money, we are not mailing dinner tickets this year. At the front door you need only say your name.

Please help us promote this event. The Evening of Peace is one of the few student-led events that helps bring together people from many organizations and recognizes contributions for peace.

Student support needed

Students attend free and since there is no annual membership fee, student tickets are made available by members who purchase a dinner ticket for a student to attend. We have 14 more students attending this year than we have donors so please consider making a donation for a student ticket.

The suggested donation for a dinner ticket is $30. You can also obtain a dinner ticket by calling 530-554-7061. We need to finalize the number of people attending with the catering company soon so please click here to obtain your dinner ticket.

Green Dignity

You may recall that last year we helped students in Indonesia start a micro-business called Green Dignity. This micro-business is well on the way to providing the income needed to fund an orphanage. Teacher Joe Murphy is leading this program in Indonesia and his summary of the program progress was published in International School Services. Click here to read the article.

We are making available the Green Dignity bags from Indonesia to raise funds to start a Green Dignity micro-business for the disabled in Africa.

When you attend our 2011 dinner, you will have an opportunity to obtain a Green Dignity bag for $20 or click here to make a $20 donation online and we will send a Green Dignity bag to you.

Fukushima radiation exceeds Chernobyl

On September 1, 2011 it was revealed that the Fukushima radiation exceeds the Chernobyl disaster. At least six municipalities near Fukushima have more than 1.48 million becquerels of Caesium-137 per square meter. At least 76 trillion becquerels of Plutonium-239 have been released from Fukushima. This amount is 23,000 times higher than the previous government announcement.

The half-life of Plutonium-239 is 24,200 years which means uncountable generations will pay the price for "safe and clean nuclear energy." The Wall Street Journal reported that first comprehensive soil survey in Japan show radiation is dispersed over a wide area. The survey of over 2,200 locations found dangerous radiation from Fukushima. Canada is starting to test Sockeye salmon and since a tremendous amount of radiation was leaked into the Pacific Ocean, radioactive salmon returning from the North Pacific to Canada are expected.

There is widespread concern in Japan that their government continues to suppress radiation information. Dr. Tatsuhiko Kodama, one of Japan's leading authorities on radiation at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, reported on July 27, 2001 that the amount of uranium released at Fukushima is equivalent to many Hiroshima bombs. A video of his statement that the total radiation released exceeds 29 atomic bombs is below.

The Telegraph reported that the amount of Caesium (Cs) leaked equals 168 Hiroshima bombs. To read the article, click here.

While the corporate owned media is often silent on this issue, in our last five newsletters we have carefully documented the truth of this global disaster.

Core values and vision

We have updated our vision and core values to align with the work as peacemakers. We are introducing a new Special Ambassadors website and a Vigilant Christian education product as we continue our work to love and serve everyone. Leading the new changes are two new books, 9/11: The Secret War Against the Jews and Vigilant Christian II: Preventing an American Hiroshima.

On a very positive note, many people who supported the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have now changed their position to support our message that more good can be accomplished with acts of kindness.

Peace Pyramid

Jim Haber, coordinator of the Nevada Desert Experience which organizes interfaith resistance to nuclear weapons and war, is speaking at the Peace Pyramid. This event is on Saturday, September 10, at 5 pm. The address is 2041 Campton Circle, Gold River. To attend, RSVP to Tom and Dar King at tjking07@comcast.net or call 916-241-9194. If you have never attended a Peace Pyramid, you are likely to find it is one of the most educational and enjoyable events that you will attend this year.

Africa trips

We are changing our format for our Africa trips to make the process more convenient for people and appropriately priced based on our experience organizing and leading trips. All Africa trips are now offered for an all inclusive price of $3,800. We will make the airfare arrangements and trip participants will only need to obtain a Visa and make sure they have the required shots and malaria prevention medicine. We will continue to work with students to help with both fund raising and when possible Teach Peace Foundation scholarships.

The June 2012 trip deliverables include:

  • Participate in programs to help disabled children live with dignity (our Special Ambassadors program).

  • Help bring solar energy to a group of disabled people. We have the system shown on the right and another more advanced solar system.

  • Supply the tools to begin making Green Dignity bags in Liberia.

  • Deliver emergency food aid as part of our team making food deliveries each month.

  • Provide medical services by supporting doctors and nurses.

  • Help teach children to be kind and compassionate leaders.

  • Visit a village which offers Teach Peace's agriculture and livestock education.

  • Learn about the history of the country with first-hand accounts from local people.

  • Work on other life-changing projects which include seed distribution and scholarships.

Trip participants routinely have a life-changing experience. Click here for endorsements from prior trip participants.

Help needed

We have business card size book announcement materials. We can deliver them to you within a day or two or your calling us at 530-554-7061. We are seeking members to help distribute these cards at 9/11 events. Everyone who volunteers time to deliver the cards will receive a gift thanking you for your help.

We also benefit from volunteers that arrive between 4 and 5 pm for the September 24, 2011 annual awards dinner. Please let your friends know about the dinner by forwarding this email. We find there is always a need for extra hands to help setup the tables in the hour before the Evening of Peace.

Peace be with you,

Dave Dionisi
