The play
transforms into
art the
destruction of
Pan Am 103 of
1988 in which
259 people in
the plane and 11
residents of
Lockerbie
perished.
How, you may
wonder, can a
play be made of
such material?
The answer: a
study in grief,
with aspirations
to deal
constructively
(with
non-violent
overtones) with
profound psychic
wounds. Set in
the Scottish
village of the
tragedy seven
years later, it
explores without
a trace of dogma
the
possibilities
for healing.
Tom King's
reaction: "My
wife Dar and
I were
thrilled by
a production
of the play
in London
three years
ago, and
finally got
our wish to
share it
with friends
back home."
Dave
Dionisi's
reaction:
"The
Women of
Lockerbie is
a teach
peace
experience
not to be
missed.
Everyone
attending
will
experience
how love
prevailed
and hatred
did not have
the last
word in
Lockerbie."
