Remembering the children
High school student Timna Medovoy has created a service learning project in memory of Rachel Corrie. Specifically, Timna has a petition to obtain a commitment from the Israeli government to take extensive precautions in preventing future killing of innocent Palestinian children (355 children were killed in the 22 day 2008 and 2009 Israeli Gaza invasion).
Project benefits include: Raise awareness on the colossal human consequences of military action and unite people on the common ground that children should never be killed. Teach that acts of kindness can do more to combat terrorism and facilitate forgiveness. With enough attention, this project has the potential to improve the lives of both Palestinian and Israeli children.

Be a voice for peace
In 2008 we delivered over 100 presentations reaching millions of people across the country hoping that raising awareness that the Bush administration was actively planning to attack Iran could help prevent another unnecessary war. Former Vice President Dick Cheney confirmed we were correct when he admitted he advocated for starting a war with Iran. Your support of our work has helped prevent war with Iran.
We continue to monitor the situation and we see signs that war with Iran is also on the Obama administration agenda. We encourage everyone to contact their representatives and demand the drums for war be silenced. While you are on the phone or writing, please remember that President Obama has broken his promise by not ending the Iraq War and by escalating the war in Afghanistan.
Book review of The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder

Teach Peace's Tom King reviews this important book by Vincent Bugliosi.
Hard to say where one will find, looking not only in courts of law but any profession or field, a more formidable reputation than that of Vincent Bugliosi. His win-lose record in his career as prosecutor in the office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney strains credulity: 105 felony jury cases won, 1 lost; 21 murder convictions, no acquittals. Yet equally noteworthy is his career as an author. He had three non-fiction books reach #1 on The New York Times hardcover bestseller list. One of these, Helter Skelter, became the best-selling true crime book in publishing history. Given the high distinction of attorney Vincent Bugliosi and the anything-but-coy title of his iconoclastic indictment, a would-be reader is apt to suppose he knows exactly what he's in for.
