The Happy Cricket Toolkit - Teach peace in schools to children ages 2-11

What You Need To Get Started 

1. The Happy Cricket DVD (the coloring book is used for children 2-6 years old).

2. A DVD player and screen (most schools can provide this).

3. Paper for the children to draw pictures to be part of a collage.

Optional Items

1. Online access to the games and activities.

2. Teach Peace Polo or T-Shirt.

Tips Before You Start

1. Determine if time permits to show a section of the film or the entire film. If showing the entire film, consider a break in the middle to discuss what the children are seeing.

Now That You Are Ready - This Is What You Do

1. Greet the children with a smile.

2. Say hello, my name is __________________.

3. Give them a brief explanation of Teach Peace.

4. Show the video.

5. Facilitate a discussion on how kindness builds peace and the opposite leads to war.

6. Challenge the children to think about how they can be peacemakers in school and at home.

7. Thank the children and teacher for the opportunity to teach peace.
