The Teach Peace Foundation's official position on
9/11 is a new investigation is needed because important questions remain
unanswered.
Victims of 9/11 deserved to have the unanswered
questions answered. The Teach Peace Foundation perspective on this point is supported by the two chairmen of the 9/11
Commission, Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton. Both Kean and Hamilton are on record that the
official report has unanswered and misanswered questions (see their
2006 book Without Precedent: The Inside Story of the 9/11 Commission and
their statements in the New York Times on January 2, 2008).*
The
Teach Peace Foundation position is also supported by former
FBI Director Louis Freeh. He wrote in the Wall Street Journal (November 17,
2005) that there are inaccuracies in the 9/11 report and "questions that need
answers." The list of caring citizens calling for answers is long. To read some
of the supporting perspectives from government officials and former CIA
officers, see
http://www.teachpeace.com/911seniorofficials.htm and

The world has know for years about serious
problems with the 9/11 report. For instance, Max Cleland, a US Senator who
resigned from the 9/11 Commission, resigned stating "this investigation is now
compromised" (the Boston Globe on November 13, 2003).
*Note:
Kean and Hamilton,
in the January 2, 2008 New York Times article charged the CIA with
obstructing their investigation. Infuriated by the knowledged that CIA 9/11
video tapes were withheld from them, they wrote:
“What we do know is that government officials
decided not to inform a lawfully constituted body, created by Congress and the
President, to investigate one of the greatest tragedies to confront this
country. We call that obstruction.” In their book, Kean and Hamilton wrote that
they were unable to obtain “access to star witnesses in custody who were the
only possible source for inside information about the 9/11 plot.
On November 30, 2007, the
former Prime Minister of Italy and head of Italy's intelligence service,
Francesco Cossiga, went on
record that the US government is withholding key 9/11 information from the
American public.
